Ingredients: 1 Package(s) (20 sheets) filo dough 1 Pound(s) sliced or shredded muenster cheese 3/4 Pound(s) melted butter 4 eggs 2 Package(s) frozen (or fresh) spinach |
Directions:
Layer 10 sheets of filo - brush each sheet with melted butter. Squeeze all the water out of spinach and layer on top of 10th sheet. Layer cheese on top of spinach. Layer remaining 10 sheets of filo, brushing each sheet with melted butter. Cut into squares both horizontally and vertially -- through to the bottom. Mix egg with some milk and pour slowly into each cut. Tip pan if any mixture settles on top, so it seeps through to all cuts. Refrigerate overnight. Bake 350 degess for 45 minutes until slightly browned on top.
If it's the Filo...1 package filo dough (20 sheets) The last time I bought it, it came in a shorter box witht wo rolls with 20 sheets each. That worked better because the sheets are a better size for a 9" x 13" pan, otherwise you need to fold over the excess. |
